I love Bobbi Brown products and i love the beauticians behind the counters who represent the Amazing Makeup Artists brand. I have never met a rude Makeup Artist that works for Bobbi Brown, everyone is so warm and friendly and they really listen to what you want instead of pushing products on to you. I feel products are even greater when they are represented with amazing customer service, it makes me want to go back again and buy more items.
However, every time i have gone to get matched at my Local Bobbi Brown counter to a bronzer ( only a bronzer though everything else has been spot on ) they have matched me to a bronzer far too dark! I returned one and sold one in shade 4 ( as i moved home and left it to long to return ), third time lucky i went and matched myself to what i felt would suit my skin-tone and i chose the perfect match... The Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Natural 1. It is actually the lightest of the bronzer shades and i think that's why it was avoided because its aimed at fairer skin-tones but its perfect for my nc25 skin-tone and it looks very natural also.
I personally gravitate towards bronzers that look natural on the skin rather than that obvious 'shes wearing bronzer' look. Most bronzers appear very warm toned on me, they always look cooler in the pan but super warm ( almost orange ) on my skin, therefore i am super picky about the bronzers i add to my collection ( I am thinking of doing my Bronzer collection blogpost and showing my favourite bronzers ).
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder Natural 1 is more neutral toned, its neither too cool toned nor warm toned which makes it great as a multifunctional product for contouring and warming up the face at the same time. It is completely matte with absolutely no shimmer or sparkle in site!
I think i will eventually add the Medium 2 bronzer to my collection also as it is a tad bit warmer than Natural 1 so they can be layered together, i think that will look gorgeous. For skin-tone reference in Bobbi Brown Products i am in the shade Beige 3 ( winter time ) and Natural 4 in the Summer-time - light to medium complexion. I no longer fake tan.
The Bobbi Brown Bronzer contains 0.28oz / 8g of powder and comes in a weighted sleek black compact, with interior mirror and the usual Bobbi Brown name signature on the front. I find the weight of the compact along with the mirror makes this a great product for travel. The product itself is very finely milled and super pigmented, you get opaque coverage the first time you dip your brush in but it blends out so easily and beautifully too.
I find the Natural 1 bronzer is a great base if you like to use a cooler tone to define features and a warm bronzer over top top to add warmth to the face. The bronzer is soft to the touch and has no fall-out which is rare for soft textures. It is long wearing and blends into the skin so naturally. A little goes a long way so this powder will last you forever. Honestly it is one of the best long-wearing bronzers on the market and you can never go wrong with Bobbi Brown products. It is my go to bronzer throughout most of the year and especially in the Autumn & Winter months.
Swatch
see as you can see even a neutral toned bronzer turns warm on me...
I recently just reviewed the Make Up For Ever Bronzed fusion and as you can see by the swatches the Bobbi Brown Natural 1 bronzer along with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzers are both more Neutral toned and more forgiving on my skin-tone, compared to the MUFE; The YSL Terre Saharienne has a warm tone to it but as its more red based than orange it flatters me more. The Bobbi Brown bronzer is one of my all time favourite holy grail products that i recommend to everyone and it really is one of the best bronzers on the market aimed to flatter every age and skin-type.
