I was very pleasantly surprised to receive the new Autumn/Winter collection from the Makeup Academy Cosmetics PR Team, and i have to say that i love this collection even more than the Summer Collection. Make Up Academy is killin' it throughout 2015 with their drugstore affordable products and are really steppin' up their game in the cosmetics industry. Everything in the collection is perfect for the Cooler months of Autumn and Winter with the eyeshadow palettes and more bright glosses being fabulous for all year round. I think this is their best collection yet, this is a collection i would advise everyone rush out and try as there is something for everyone, is it a bit too soon to be excited for their Spring 2016 line lol....
Both of the new eyeshadow palettes are shimmer brick style, so if you are not a fan of shimmery eyeshadows i would recommend skipping these from the collection. I personally love a bit of shimmer and sparkle, i mean what girl doesn't? Each palette contains 8.5g of product and contains 10 individual shades. The eyeshadows are buttery soft and apply very smooth on to the lid and crease, i also find them surprisingly long-wearing (yes without eye primer as i think we have all gathered now that i forget to put on primer lol). Each shade within the palettes compliment each other and are pretty pigmented for drugstore. Another great thing is the Utopia palette can be used as a highlighter on the face also, talk about multipurpose. The packaging is a small sleek, black click-shut compact with an interior mirror, the size of this palette makes it perfect to throw into your makeup bag and head out the door.
Utopia - contains 10 Nude and Neutral eyeshadows, Consisting of Champagne's, Light Bronzes and Golds making this ideal for all year round.

Paradise - contains 10 warm Plum and Copper shades, it also contains a pretty peach, rose gold, and a rich cranberry shade making this not only perfect for fall time but also for spring.

MUA have also created a New water-based hydrating primer called the Skin Define Hydro Primer and i must say that i was most excited about this product, especially as i have been on a major primer kick this year. I have worn this a handful of times now this week and i have found it has helped to keep my skin hydrated underneath my foundation and it does not make me oily either like some hydrating primers can do. As it is a gel consistency it applies wet and cool on the skin, melting into the skin perfectly only taking a minute to absorb into the skin. With the cooler months now working their way in, this primer will be good for helping to keep the skin hydrated against the cool crisp Autumn and winter air. It is an ideal moisturising base to combat dryness through the colder months whether you have Normal, Dry or Oily/Combination skin.
Moving onto Lip products now and boy oh boy are Makeup Academy releasing a lot of lip products this season. I was sent three different types of lip products consisting of Lip glosses, Lipstick palettes and Liquid lipsticks.
Makeup Academy have added a further eight liquid lipsticks to their Velvet Lip Lacquer collection, i received the shades in: Zest, Vivacity, Potency, Symphonic and Tranquillity. The lipsticks are super creamy to apply and dry to a matte finish after a few minutes that is comfortable to wear and not drying, opaque and long-lasting. I also like the very subtle fruity smell....

They do dry, i took before they had completely dried and believe me when i say i had to use makeup remove to remove.
- Zest - is a bright orange based red with a slight hint of pink, It reminds me of a cross between MAC Relentlessly red and MAC Lady Danger lipsticks, i would personally wear this in the summertime.
- Vivacity - is a bright fuchsia pink with a slight hint of purple, i would wear this in the summer but also in the Autumn with a darker lip-liner to create a sexy ombre effect.
- Potency - is a pitch black shade, it is perfect for the Halloween season for me as i don't usually wear black lipstick, but since i am stepping out of my comfort zone this year i just might give it a go. I do find that this lipstick needs more building up than the other shades, but after 2 coats its opaque and looks stunning on.
- Symphonic - is a cool-toned, grey-based purple grape shade, i foresee this being the most popular shade out of the collection, especially as cool toned grey and brown tones are in this season, this just screams Fall.
- Tranquillity - is a beige nude with a slight hint of peach, making this and ideal nude for many skin-tones that will not wash you out. This is going to be reached for a lot by me you know i love my nudes.

Now onto the lip glosses.... I must say Makeup Academy lip glosses are are some of my favourites in my makeup collection from the drugstore. Most of my lip glosses are high end with the exception of MUA, Nyx and Kiko. I like that they aren't overly sticky and are super affordable, which is great because lip glosses don't last more than 2 seasons. I received seven of the lip glosses which are called 'Metallic Liquid Lips', these lip glosses leave a metallic high-shine shimmery look to the lips, making the lips appear full and juicy. The only thing i do not like about these is a strong sweet smell but that is personal preference and if i apply a fruity flavoured lip balm underneath it disguises the smell. The shades i received are: Luster, Bedazzle, Flash, Glint, Blaze, Twinkle and Flare. The lips glosses are opaque especially the ones without so much shimmer, i find the shimmery ones layer beautifully over a matte lipstick. I think the most popular shades are going to be Luster for the girls who love to wear nudes, Bedazzled and Blaze for those who get into the whole fall-time cranberry and plum phase, and Twinkle for the edgy girls who want a twist to the black lip look.
Swatches of MUA Metallic lip gloses Luster, Bedazzle, Flash, Glint, Blaze, Twinkle and Flare.
- Luster - is a cool toned Taupe with silver flecks, this is perfect over a pale nude lipstick
- Bedazzle - is stunning berry purple with fuchsia pink undertone
- Flash - is a bright hot raspberry pink
- Glint - is a browny-grey with a slight purple undertone tone and gold shimmer, it really is a very unique colour
- Blaze - is a stunning Merlot burgundy red with cranberry shimmer
- Twinkle - is a dark grey almost black with black shimmer, it would layer beautifully over the Potency Velvet Lip Lacquer
- Flare - is a bright red, with a hot pink undertone
The last lip product i think is going to be their biggest seller, they are the lipstick palettes and Makeup Academy have called them 'Paintbox multi shade lip palettes'. Each palette consists of five lipstick shades, that compliment each other making them ideal to mix and match to create your perfect lip shade. Each compact is small and sleek with an interior mirror and comes with two lip brushes; Making this once again ideal for travel, on the go and quick touch ups. My kind of Product. The palettes i received are in: Beige Nudes & Honey Browns ( yes you know already this is my favourite lol ), Imperial Plums and Rose Rouge. The lipsticks are creamy and fairly pigmented, The Mac lip palettes are so popular but pricey so i can see these affordable palettes given them a good run for their money.
The Beige Nudes & Honey Browns palette consists of five deep brown and medium toned beige lipsticks.
The Rose Rouge palette consists of five red and pink shades. A neutral rose, two reds and two bright pinks.
Imperial Plums consists of five Purple/Berry shades. Containing a mauve, deep purples and a a bright and cool toned lilac.
That is the whole collection, my favourite items in this collection are the Skin Define Hydro Primer; The Velvet Lip Lacquers in Tranquillity and Symphonic; The 10 shade eyeshadow palettes in Paradise and Utopia; the Paintbox lipstick palette in Beige Nudes & Honey Browns and the Metallic liquid lips in Blaze, Luster and Bedazzle., I will be reaching for all of these over the next two seasons and uploading in motd posts on my Instagram.
The A/W line should be releasing in stores on the 23rd of September (2 days before my birthday)....
