Back in the beginning of August i squealed with excitement as i received a sneak peek email from NARSissist about their upcoming Private Screening Fall 2015 collection. I knew the day it released i had to get my hand on some of the items from this particular collection. I also picked up the Matte Shimmer Palette ( review to follow ). I had my heart set on three items in particular and it was love at first site. I have spent the past few months loving each and every item...
Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Pasiphae
Nars Private Screening Fall 2015 collection - Pasiphae dual-intensity eyeshadow
The first item i could not put into my basket quick enough was the Dual Intensity eyeshadow in Pasiphae. I had never seen anything like it. I have developed a huge
The Dual-Intensity eyeshadow texture is very soft, blendable, and easy to apply. I find the longevity wears around 8 hours for this eyeshadow and it wears longer with a cream base underneath. I personally like to apply my dual intensity eyeshadows with my fingers as i find the warmth of my finger helps the eyeshadow blend into my skin and enhance the pigmentation. Pasiphae is described as "A shimmering peacock burgundy". The green and gold shimmer particles definitely help it to appear like a peacock shade but i cannot see Burgundy anywhere?? I would describe Pasiphae on my skin-tone to be an Olive green with green and gold shimmer. In some lights it appears a medium-dark brown with green shimmer particles and in other lights it looks an olive green with a gold sheen. It swatches more brown than it appears on the lids. I personally prefer the brown undertone to this so i like to use a dark coppery-brown base underneath to really pull out the warmth of the eyeshadow. It honestly is such a unique and pretty eyeshadow, i own nothing like it in my collection.
Nars Dual-Intensity eyeshadow in Pasiphae contains 0.05 oz of product and it is Limited Edition for Fall 2015. Pasipahe retails in the UK for £21 through Nars UK, House of Fraser or through Selfridges.
It is available for $29 in the USA through Nars, Barneys, & Sephora
Nars Chelsea Girls Lipgloss
Nars Private Screening Fall 2015 collection - Nars Chelsea Girls Lipgloss Swatch
To be honest i was super nervous about trying out the Nars Lipgloss. I had a few of the original lipglosses before they reformulated and i HATED them, the smell made me feel so sick i just couldn't bare wearing them. So i was very relieved to have noticed that these lipglosses come with absolutely no scent, yay!! Now i want more lol. Chelsea Girls is described as a “pink beige.” I think it is a nude peachy pink. It has a semi-opaque creamy, glossy finish. I find this lip gloss not to be sticky at all, it has a slight tackiness but its not sticky, it is hydrating and wears around 3-4 hours on me which is not bad for a gloss. I have worn this a lot through August, September and October and it has fast become one of my favourite everyday lip colours.
Nars Chelsea Girl Lipgloss retails for £19 in the UK and is available to purchase through Nars.
It is available for $26 in the USA through Nars also.
Nars Blush - Tribulation
Tribulation is a beautiful highlighter ( i dont know why Nars call their highlighters blushes? ) Unfortunately i did not like Albatross, i just found it to be far too yellow on my skin-tone i just didn't look right. I find Tribulation to be more subtle, with a warm peachy tone to it meaning it flatters my complexion. Tribulation is described by Nars as a shimmery rosy sand. I would describe it as a beige with gold shimmer and a warm-peachy undertone. The texture is very smooth and soft, the powder appears a bit firmer than my usual blushes by Nars meaning there is zero fall-out when i put my brush into the pan. I find this perfect in partnership with my Makeup Geek Small Stippling brush as its densely packed. It blends onto the skin beautifully without emphasising pores, leaving a beautiful obvious highlight. Tribulation is pretty long-wearing, wearing around 8 hours. I think this shade is more versatile on an array of skin-tones unlike Albatross, it would be a pretty beige blush with shimmer on very fair skin-tones and it would act as a beige highlighter on light to dark skin-tones. It really compliments a peachy blush beautifully.
Nars Tribulation Blush/Highlighter retails for £23 in the UK and is available to purchase directly through Nars UK, House of Fraser or through Look Fantastic.
It is available for $30 in the USA through Nars or Barneys.
