I thought i had a lot of foundations when i did a blogpost dedicated to my foundation collection the beginning of 2015 ( which you can view here ); However i think i have accumulated an unreal amount of foundations throughout the year of 2015. I literally found myself purchasing a new foundation ( or three ) every month to try out for all you lovelies. who are always ask me about my foundation recommendations. Not only high end but i tested out a lot of drugstore foundations also. As we are transitioning into spring i decided to do a declutter series of my makeup, including my foundations. So i decided to dedicate the next few months to hammering out foundation reviews. Talking everything foundation related, from foundation and bb cream reviews, tools for application, primers, which skin-type suits which foundation and much more. Foundation is by far my favourite makeup product to test out and purchase, and its the one area ( along with tools ) that i put the most money into. I treat my foundations as i would skincare. In the mean time lets get started with my entire foundation collection and look at some of the items that will be getting mentioned....
I thought i would separate my foundations into categories of Drugstore and Affordable to High end and Luxury. I have also included powder and cream foundations in this blogpost. Please remember that many of the foundations in this post have not been tested yet, and it does not mean once i have reviewed them that they will stay in my collection. I put my time and money into reviewing the foundations, getting to know which skin types they work best with, their pro's and cons so that i can help all of you know which foundations may work for you, so that you don't have to waste money. So that was my entire foundation collection after my declutter. A few are foundations i use in my kit ( on friends and other people ) and some i have still yet to review or test out. All of the items i am yet to test out i have marked with a + sign next to them. My following post will be my Top 5 foundations, followed by my foundation declutter post showing the foundations i decluttered from my stash. You might notice a pattern of the types of foundations i like, i tend to like Satin or Demi-matte foundations that give a slight glow. As i have gotten older i tend to find myself avoiding matte-finish foundations and opting for that healthy luminous, youthful glow. I much prefer my foundations to look like a second skin.
