My Top 10 Favourite Lipsticks

It is hard to believe that just a few years back in my very later 20's i started wearing lipstick! I never wore lipstick as i hated how high maintenance they were; My whole adult life i was just a simple lady who loved a tint of colour from a lip gloss. Years later, beauty blogging opened up a whole new makeup world to me and before i knew it i had found lipsticks that i actually liked, and have since realised that not all lipsticks have to be high maintenance, unless you want them to be of course. For me wearing a lipstick that is comfortable is the most important thing. It has to suit my personal style, age, lifestyle and my complexion.

Amazingly i am not a big fan of matte lipsticks ( especially liquid finishes ), i just find them to be more flattering on more younger women. Now that i am in my thirties i am all about creamy, hydrating, moisturising lipsticks that not only look good but look after my lips. I have extremely sensitive, dry lips and a lot of lip products cause them to crack and peel more, so i am extremely picky about the lipsticks i use.

Though i own a lot of fully-opaque lipsticks my personal favourites are more sheer, lustre-like finishes. Therefor MAC Lustre and Cremesheen's, YSL Rouge Volupte and Volupte Shine's, and Chanel Rouge Coco Shines are my personal favourites! Marc Jacobs, Kiko, Urban Decay and Gosh Cosmetics also have some fabulous lipsticks that i love. My lips are naturally quite a deep mauve-pink in pigmentation, so i like to enhance what i already have. I would say that my signature lip shades are definitely nudes with a pink under-tone and rosey-mauve tones; Now i could have put all random 'blogger popular' lipsticks in this post in an array of shades, but truthfully that post wouldn't be honest, as i cannot help what i like. The following lipsticks ( in no particular order ) that i am about to mention are my 'Top Ten Holy Grail Lipsticks' that i reach for on a regular basis and repurchase over and over. Honestly these beauties get more lip action than any other lipsticks in my collection.
