My Makeup Collection & Muji Storage

I don't know what's been going on but my posts seem to be getting really long, so i am now trying to reduce them. I have been meaning to do an Acrylic storage blog post for ages. So, i thought i would show my current Muji drawer rotation, which contains all my summer makeup products! Despite the sun rising earlier and going down later the weather here in England has been so unpredictable that it has felt more like Autumn that Summer. Only in the UK can you experience all four seasons in one day lol. Today just happens to be a freak of nature, as its actually hot out!!! When we do get 'summer weather' we never get it for long, so we like to make the most of it. It's the time of year to put away coats and boots and bring out all the pretty strappy dresses and cute summer sandals. Letting our skin enjoy the warmer temperature. Just like with fashion i change my 'makeup' with the change of seasons and summertime is the time of year i tend to wear less of it. I have already touched base with a few products that i have been loving here but now im sharing my entire summer makeup collection....

It seems to be all the rage for people to use clear acrylic storage nowadays, whether it be at their desk, in the bathroom or at their makeup vanity; we have all obsessively jumped onto the clear acrylic storage craze! Acrylic storage is brilliant because it makes things you reach for easily accessible and is a convenient way to be able to see everything but also look sleek. The acrylic drawers by Muji i love because they aren't too large in size, are customisable and stackable. My everyday Muji drawers are currently housed on top 2 drawer units next to my bed. Simply because my vanity is too large to fit next to the window. At present this storage works for me until i get a hollywood style mirror for my vanity. I use 4x two-drawer Muji units - which you can find here. I am one of those beauty addicts who rotates the makeup that i use regularly, this way all of my products get shown some love and aren't just brought out for show on Instagram. For years i followed suit with every other 'beauty blogger' and hoarded so much makeup, nowadays i only buy what i need and what i know i will use day to day - my money can be spent effectively elsewhere. So if i find that i don't reach for a product i either pass them along to a friend, or i sell on Depop.

In my Summer Muji Rotation you will notice a lot of lightweight bases, metallic highlighters, luminizing bronzers, pops of coral for the cheeks, barely there pink lip products and warm rich browns for the eyes. I will warn you now that this is going to be quite a lengthy post, so you might want to grab yourself a drink and a snack, or that full tub of icecream you have been saving and lets get looking at what is in my Summer Muji Rotation.....

All about That Base:

I am all about a healthy glowing base that is lightweight and natural looking. Luminizing primers are an added step that can really help you to achieve that 'glow' teamed with a lightweight base, you will be looking like Giselle before you know it. My obsessions have been the Dolce & Gabbana Sheer Radiance Makeup Base, the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream, YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation and the Koh Gen Do Aqua foundation. I have pretty much received compliments every time that i have worn any of them. The Chanel Les Beiges All-in-One healthy glow fluid was a firm favourite of mine last year so of course i had to include it again this year, and i included the BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation  so that i remember to use it. I have so many base products that at times i can feel a little overwhelmed with the amount of them i have in my collection #beautybloggerproblems. Of course my trusty Dior Diorskin Star foundation is always in rotation all year round, as it is my holy grail foundation and the one i reach for it when i want a more coverage. As a busy mom working from home with school runs, i am often short of time in the mornings so i need something that will just even out my skin-tone and can be applied quickly with my fingers for convenience. The Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue ticks all the boxes. As my skin is more oily in the warmer months i do have to set my t-zone with a light dusting of powder. The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder has been my most reached for powder over the past couple of months. Flawless in a powder - it's almost undetectable on the skin and holds up all day. If i am wanting a powder with less coverage the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural or the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder are my go-to's. Both of which have been firm favourites of mine for years now.

BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation in Beige- Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in Ginger - Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Aqua Foundation 123 - Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundations medium 5 - It Cosmetics CC Cream medium - YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat B30 - Diorskin Star Foundation 021 - Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid no.30.

I was shocked that back in June i put my Holy grail Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer down and i have found myself drawn to more lightweight and hydrating concealers, so that i experience less caking up under my sunglasses. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and the Dior Diorskin Nude Hydrating Concealer have been my perfect concoction. The Maybelline for coverage and the Dior for hydration. If i am in a rush and just want to quickly dot some concealer under the eyes i reach for the By Terry Terrybly Densillis Concealer. It's not as opaque as the other concealers in my rotation but its super lightweight and blends out easily with my fingers. If i am desiring a bit of brightness under the eyes to highlight, the Loreal True Match Concealer has been brilliant. When it comes to setting up under the eye i have loved the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powde, occasionally bringing my YSL Souffle D'Eclat Loose Powder out of my makeup collection. The Laura Mercier can be drying on women with more mature skin but if used lightly it can look really nice. I find that a rich cream doesn't mesh so well with my concealer on my eye shape, nor do i find that they fully absorb. So, i opt for a hydrating serum like the Aesop Parsley Seed Antioxidant Eye Serum or the Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment. Both are fantastic and ideal if you get milia easily.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter - Hourglass Veil Primer - Dolce & Gabbana Sheer Radiance Makup Base - Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow - Dior Diorskin Nude Concealer beige 002 -  Loreal Perfect Match Concealer in Vanilla 2 - By Terry Densillis Concealer medium peach - Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 20 - Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid Sunkissed - Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate intensity one.

Cheeks & Highlight

Now onto my favourite part.... products that make my skin glow,  like a diamond glistening in the sunlight. I probably concentrate more on cheek products the most in the summertime. I especially love cream and liquid products during the warmer months as they are super lightweight, easy to work with and look more natural on the skin. There are some days i wear a combination of liquid, cream and powder highlighters, if they are applied lightly they can look beautiful together and last all day with no touch ups needed! As much as i am intrigued by the whole over the top highlighting craze on social media today, i personally prefer a more subtle approach to highlighting. Highlighters help to emphasise your features but they can also emphasise your imperfections like uneven skin texture, dry skin and large pores. If you are someone who fears wearing a highlighter because of the 'tin man' craze, then a cream highlighter will be perfect for you as they are almost impossible to overdo it and i find them to look the most natural. I have a blogpost coming up shortly on highlighters aimed for women over 30 and my entire highlighter collection. I have 3 cream, 3 liquid and 7 powder highlighters in my rotation this season....

MAC Superb - MAC Oh Darling - Laura Mercier Indiscretion - MAC Soft and Gentle - Beauty By NK ( Now HiddenCosmetics ) - Laura Geller Gilded Honey - Kiko Wet & Dry Eyeshadow in 208 - Charlotte Tilbury Dreamy Glow Highlighter.

When it comes to a cream highlighter it has to be emollient so that it's easy to blend out, but not too thick or tacky in consistency that it leaves an uneven layer on the skin. I am a huge fan of the texture of the Mac Cream Colour Base's and this season i have the shades Hush and Pearl on rotation. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector 'Poured' in Opal is another favourite of mine and it flatters all ages. On makeup free days and i just want a little glow i have been a big fan of the *Gosh Lumi Drops. I like to mix the two shades *Peach and Vanilla together to create the perfect concoction for my light-to-medium skin-tone. If i am lusting after that Beach-Goddess bronze kind of glow then there is no other liquid illuminator out there like the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Illuminating Fluid Sunkissed. If there is just one product that screams Jennifer Lopez then it is this luxurious beauty. I am extremely picky about the powder highlighters and have found many of the hyped-up highlighters have left me disappointed as i have found them to be too glittery, chunky or just far too tin man. My favourite powdered highlighters are by MAC. I really like BECCA highlighters but they break too easily and i can't keep repurchasing them... However any pigmented highlighter when used in conjunction with either the Wayne Goss Air Brush, Wayne Goss no.15 Fan Brush or the Wayne Goss no.14 Brush will look beautiful on the skin and you will be left with a beautiful ethereal glow; Plus the top quality brushes do not disturb your foundation. MAC Soft and Gentle is a cult favourite amongst beauty addicts for good reason, it's one of those highlighters that is so pretty on all skin tones, and is one of the few products that i wear all year round. Mac Oh Darling surprised me when she came along and stole my heart, i swear by this beauty in the Spring and Summer months. Another Mac highlighter i bring out every summer time is the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Superb which is more of a cooler bronze shade and is simply stunning on anyone with a medium to deep skin-tone. As of recent i have not been able to put down my Tom Ford Skin Illuminating powder duo in moodlight. Not only have i used this on my cheeks but i have also loved using the powders as eyeshadows. I did have the Kiko wet & Dry eyeshadow in 208 in my drawer but i absolutely hated it as a highlight! It's just far too chunky and glittery on the skin.

MUA Whipped Velvet Chi Chi - Gosh Lumi Drops Vanilla - Becca Opal Poured - BECCA Beach Tint Souffle Watermelon/Moonstone - MAC Hush - MAC Pearl - Tom Ford Pink Sand - Gosh Lumi Drops  Peach - Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk powder 5 - MAC Mineralize skinfinish natural Medium Plus - Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow powder No.20.

I like to try slightly bolder colours on my cheeks in the summertime, stepping away from my peachy-neutral comfort zone. I actually find myself wearing more blush more in the spring and summer months than i do in the cooler seasons. This rotation i have a nice mixture of cream and powder blushers mostly peachy-coral tones. The Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle Blush in Watermelon/Moonstone is the most stunning cream blush ever! Honestly the The BECCA Shimmer Souffle blushers are the best cream blushers ever created!!!!! They help to create the most beautiful, luminous flush of colour on the cheeks - kind of like if your highlight and blush were mixed together. The Makeup Academy Whipped Velvet Blush in ChiChi is another cream blush i like and it is the perfect bright fun summer shade. For only £3 you just cannot go wrong. I like to team it with the Bobbi Brown Pretty Coral blush over top. Of course i cannot go completely without a neutral peachy blush so the Milani Luminiso Baked Blush is in my rotation again - surprise, surprise. It's the most popular and beautiful peach blush on the market. Tom Ford Love Lust is like Luminoso's more mature sister and is equally as stunning. I always reach for these two blushes when doing clients makeup. Summer makeup just wouldn't be 'summer makeup' without the infamous Nars Orgasm blusher in my collection. I think every makeup enthusiast owns this, or at least a similar dupe. The It Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Flush in Pretty in Peony and the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush in Empowered are pretty close in similarity. My favourite blushers are probably by MAC, they have such a huge selection of shades and finishes to choose from. Peachykeen and Peaches are two Mac blushers that come out every summer in my rotation.

Tarte Empowered - Tarte Glisten - Nars Orgasm - Tom Ford Love Lust - Hourglass Luminous Flush -  Bobbi Brown Pretty Coral - It Cosmetics Pretty in Peony - MAC Peachtwist - MAC Peaches - MAC Warm Soul - MAC peachykeen - MAC Linda.

Contouring has been on the back burner this summer as i have been all about that summer bronze look. When i have felt the need to define my face the Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate is what i have reached for. It's so emollient and blends out like a dream. I apply using the Wayne Goss 01 Small Stipple Brush and blend out using a Beauty Blender. I am a bronzer addict and i wear it all year round! I just feel that it compliments my medium skin-tone beautifully and helps to bring life back tomy face. The Bare Minerals The Beach is Waiting bronzer gets pulled out ever summer. It should also come as no surprise that my favourite bronzer of all time the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronze & glow is in my rotation also. I may dabble with other bronzers, but i always come back to this.If you cannot afford the CT this more affordable dupe is lovely especially if you have fair to medium skin tone. I especially love it in the cooler months as it's a little less shimmery than the filmstar bronzer. The Elizabeth Arden Summer Escape bronzer is a beautiful dark bronzer i pull out every time i have a tan.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow - Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo Moodlight - Elizabeth Arden Summer Escape Bronzing Powder deep glow 02 - Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric bronzer 100 - Bare Minerals The Beach is Waiting bronzer - Milani Luminoso - Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Blush Guava - Chanel Joues Contraste Rose Initiale.

Lips

In the summertime i am usually a huge fan of super glossy lips. Whether it be a shimmery, wet looking lip gloss or an opaque and creamy lipstick. If it's baby pink or slightly peachy i am all over it! However i am trying to be more adventurous with my lips this summer and though i don't find a lot of hot pink fuchsia shades suit me, i have found a couple that suit me well. There are a total of 13 lipsticks in my rotation, 6 of which are by MAC. With other lipsticks by Tom Ford, Chanel, It Cosmetics and Charlotte Tilbury. I have been loving MAC Heavenly Hybrid, MAC Lovelorn, It Cosmetics Love Story, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Romance, Tom Ford Pink Dusk and Chanel Rouge Allure Seduisante. The more daring pink shades i have on rotation are MAC's Viva Glam Miley Cyrus and Rihanna's Pleasure bomb, both of which are sadly limited edition. Gloss, Gloss, Baby...... You may notice in the photos that I have rather a lot of the YSL Gloss Volupte lip glosses in my stash, i love that they are super shimmery and give my lips a wet look. Of course i have a few MAC lipglosses including one of my favourites 'Fulfilled'. Then there is a few glosses by Jouer, Stila, Bare Minerals and Charlotte Tilbury. The Makeup Academy Powerpout Glaze in Allure has been my most reached for gloss so far. I like to apply this long-lasting gloss with my finger, gently dabbing it on my lips to live a soft pretty lip tint.

MAC Viva Glam Miley Lipglass - MAC Fulfilled Lipglass - MAC Ceremonial Cremesheen Glass - MAC Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass - MAC Lipsticks ( Viva Glam Miley Cyrus, Milan Mode, Heavenly Hybrid, Lovelorn, Big Bow & Pleasure Bomb ) -  Jouer Lipglosses ( Eclipse, Malibu & Stellar ) -  Charlotte Tilbury Coachella Coral Lipstick - Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustres ( Ibiza Nights, Portobello Girl & Blondie ) - Chanel  Rouge Allure Seduisante - Tom Ford Lipsticks ( Pink Tease, Pink Dusk & Twist of Fate ).

Eyes

There is not enough room in my jam packed Muji drawers for any eye products,  so they currently live in an acrylic tray which sits on top of my stacked drawer unit. I wear less on the eyes in the warmer months and often go for that one shadow look. I have gravitated towards warm-copper and bronzed shades this summer with the occasional 'metallic champagne' eye. The Tom Ford Nude Dip palette is the perfect summer eyeshadow palette and is by far one of my favourite shimmery metallic eyeshadow palettes. The shadows are just extremely finely milled and intense but without being too obnoxious for us older women with no glitter in sight. The Too Faced Natural Matte palette and Viseart Neutral Matte palettes have been great for everyday wear and the Marc Jacobs The Dreamer Style Eye Con is stunning if you are wanting more of a shimmery eye look with plenty of beautiful gold tones. I also love to use a lot of my single powder eyeshadows in the summertime, and i have quite a few by MAC, Nyx, Kiko and Loreal . I also have a few cream eyeshadow bases in pot and crayon form, from Charotte Tilbury, Kiko, Gosh and Chanel. The Chanel Illusion D'ombre in Emerveille is the perfect soft eye colour for glowing on the beach. My mascaras, pencil eyeshadows, eyeliners and brow pencils live in a small candle holder. The DHC Double Protection Mascara is an absolute must have for me in the humidity as it does not budge at all! The Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara is beautiful but smudges so badly on me, so i only use it when im wearing false lashes. Of course i have my holy grail tools the Tweezerman mini tweezers and the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers - both of which i cannot live without. However I really want to try the Surratt eyelash curlers as the Shu Uemura ones don't fit over my entire eyelid due to eye shape. Liquid liner is pretty simple the DHC Liquid Eyeliner EXRimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner and the NYC liquid liner are all in my rotation. I have the Black Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Pencil in a travel size, which i use to line my tight-line. I have a selection of brow products from It Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC and Soap and Glory. The Soap and Glory Brow Archery 2-in-1 Pencil is my holy grail brow pencil and i just ran out *sniff sniff.

Viseart Neutral mattes - Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita - MAC Prep + Prime Eye Base - Too faced Natural Matte palette - Charlotte Tilbury The Golden Goddess - MAC Highlighter Quad ( Phloof, Nylon, Naked Lunch & Rice Paper ) - Tom Ford Nude Dip - Make Up Academy Luxe Utopia Palette -  Marc Jacobs The Dreamer Style Eye Con 7 -  Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage.

Single Eyeshadows by Kiko, Chanel, MAC, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Nyx, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, Natural Collection, Loreal and Maxfactor.... Detailed post with swatches to follow in separate blogpost.

Shadows: NYX Milk - LookX Creamy Eyeshadow ( unsure of name ) - Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Diamonds - Gosh Light Copper - Kiko Longlasting Stick 07 - Tarte Rose Gold Smolder Eyes. Brows: Anastasia Brow Wiz Chocolate - Soap & Glory brow Archery -  It Cosmetics Brow Power - MAC Clear Brow Set. More Eyes: DHC Double protection mascara - Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara - Marc Jacobs Black highliner pencil - DHC Liquid Eyeliner - NYC Liquid Liner - Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner - Tweezerman mini tweezers.

Now i wont go into detail about my makeup brushes as i have a blogpost coming up on my blog talking about my favourite everyday makeup brushes; So keep your eyes peeled for that. My will say that my brushes consist mostly of Wayne Goss, Zoeva, MAC and It Cosmetics.

So that was my entire makeup collection for the summer months. I hope you enjoyed finding out about what is in my stash. I will be doing shorter individual summer posts including some of the items in my rotation, so if there are any particular products you want swatches or comparisons of then please just comment down below.

What are your must have summer makeup products that you just cannot live without? I would love to know...... If you made it to the end of this blogpost well done and thank you for taking the time to read.
