A Huge Green Beauty Skincare Birthday Haul

What better time to spoil yourself than your birthday month? I will finally be turning 32 years old in a couple of weeks. Though I've been telling the world I'm 32 since i was 31 and a half lol. I don't look too bad for my age, so I see no shame in upping my age a few months. Though I'm pretty sure I wont be doing the same thing in 10 years time lol. I was spoiled with presents as a child, but now I am older and my children are still far too young to buy me luxury skincare items ( but I thoroughly enjoy their handmade cards, best mom mugs and chocolates ). I tend to treat myself to some birthday goodies, and I love that celebrating my birthday gives me the freedom to treat myself to some luxurious products that i wouldn't usually splurge on....

Every birthday ( more like every week lol ) I compile a wishlist, and I purchase a handful of the items on that list. Being a beauty blogger and a huge beauty addict my wishlists are always huge. This year it consisted of mostly skincare products, as in reality do i need any more makeup? Then again I don't need any more skincare either. However, my 'wishlist' is just a guideline of the products i really want to try and plan to purchase at some point in the future. This way when I have a little extra money to treat myself, I spend it on the products I truly want, rather than just haulin' anything and everything because i got paid. I still have a few more products on my wishlist but i will leave those to a future blogpost later on in the month. I will admit that i am an impatient person! I'm the type of woman who pays triple the postage to get something delivered the next day, or pays more for a product on Amazon just so i can get it Prime. If anything i think the 'Prime' feature has made me worse and even more impatient - Prime is just genius. Anyway, despite my birthday being in the last week of September ( yes I am a lovely Libra ) my payday is at the beginning of the month, so it made sense to buy everything come pay day and many of them i have already started using ( reviews will follow in future blogposts ). So, lets take a look at the goodies i have hauled for my birthday month. I will warn you that my skincare addiction is real, and this post is mostly mask and cleanser heavy....

Mahalo Rare Indigo Beauty Balm £88 - Link via Alyaka

I have been lusting after Mahalo skincare products for what feels like forever, and I could never justify ordering from the USA because of the heavy customs tax's, and and believe me I get hit with them all the time! My most expensive being almost £70 in charges, which is disgusting! ( and don't even get me started on the mess up invoices Morphe and Gerard cosmetics did - i won't buy from them again ). So last year I vowed to no longer order outside of Europe unless it was from Beautylish or Sephora where they include the taxes when you checkout. Plus it gave me the opportunity to try so many amazing British brands. Anyway, a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to buy her Mahalo Rare Indigo Beauty Balm. She was sent it as PR but never used it, so of course I said yes. The Mahalo Rare Indigo Beauty Balm is adored by my beautiful friend Binita ( which she talks about here ) so I was adamant I was going to love it also. It is a blue anti-inflammatory, collagen-fostering vitamin C ester with a high-content of antioxidants and replenishing essential fatty-acids, that help to lower oxidation damage. Supercharged with the rare extract of the indigo plant it helps to leave your skin hydrated, nourished and looking youthful.

May Lindstrom Clean Dirt ( £48 ) and  Honey Mud Cleansing Silk ( £64 ) Gift Duo £112 Link via Alyaka

I didn't have the best shopping experience with the retailer but my products arrived in the end, packaged well and with a lot of free samples. The Honey Mud Cleansing Silk is a soothing cleanser and mask multi-tasker. Packed full of raw honey alongside purifying white clay and nourishing plant oils, it's leaves your complexion spotlessly clean and velvety soft. The Clean Dirt is a stimulating exfoliating treatment that comes to life once mixed with water. It helps to refine the texture and appearance of your skin, leaving your skin feeling velvety soft and looking positively glowing with vitality.

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Intense Hydrating Booster £58 - Link via Space NK

This product has mixed reviews, with some loving it and others saying it has done nothing in terms of hydration. It is however a product I have been lusting after for a good year now, so I am glad I finally treated myself to it - just in time for the colder months. This lightweight multitasking serum combines hyaluronic acid, other moisture magnets and soothing rose water to comfort dehydrated, stressed, parched or unbalanced skin. It intensely hydrates for plumper more radiant skin and activates your skin’s natural defences to protect it against harsh environmental factors. It can also be mixed with other serums, a face cream or a face mask for supercharged hydration. Anything that promises to pretty much be 'a drink of water for my face' i am all over.

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Liquid Facial Resurfacer £36 - Link via Space NK
This was a bit of an impulse buy, but hey sometimes I fall off the bandwagon. However, I do love Sarah Chapman products and have adored everything I have tried. Being fairly new to liquid exfoliants I'm down to try most of them that aren't too harsh. The Skinesis Liquid Facial Resurfacer is a gentle everyday liquid exfoliator with a combination of Phytic, Lactic and Multi-fruit acids that are friendly for the face without a harsh exfoliation. A complexion corrector that recharges skin, dissolves away any dead skin cells and tightens pores. Revealing more even toned, smoother, radiant skin. This just screams Missy.

Evolve Beauty Radiant Glow Mask £18 - Link via Evolve Beauty

Well Hello there sweet chocolate heaven! Evolve Organic Beauty is a brand I discovered through the explore section of Instagram ( they are the sister company to S5 Skincare - which i have been dying to try ). I love their philosophy and their super sweet social media team. I had heard that this mask was richly decadent, so of course it was the first item I put in my basket. An already concocted face mask blended with raw cacao powder, clay, sweet almond oil and coconut granules. Antioxidant rich Raw Cacao helps to protect the skin and improve hydration and the complexion, vitamin rich Sweet Almond Oil moisturises and nourishes, while Coconut granules help to buff away any dead skin, with a touch of sweet vanilla. Once water comes into contact with this mask the Natural sugar extracts turn the exfoliating mask into a creamy milk for easy removal revealing silky smooth, fresh, moisturised skin. Your skin is left calm, purified and revitalised. Plus I must mention this is every chocoholics dream - try not to eat it!

Evolve Beauty Gentle Cleansing Melt £18 - Link via Evolve Beauty

Despite this being aimed at Normal to dry skin types, the 'try every cleanser out there' addict in me had me putting it in my basket anyway. They have a cleanser here for more normal to oily skin types - which you know is on my 'to get' wishlist. This soothing rich oil-gel can be a bit difficult to get out of the bottle but is worth the extra minute. A little really does go a long way! Simply massage this into your skin, add water to create a creamy milk, and rinse. Baobab oil helps to soothe and hydrate the skin, while vanilla and rose help to relax the mind. Even the most sensitive skin types can use this and are left with clean, calm and soft hydrated skin.

May Lindstrom The Problem Solver £72 - Link via Cult Beauty

This mask that has a cult following has been on my radar for ages, but I just couldn't justify the high price tag. Being my birthday and taking advantage of the offer Cult Beauty had, I put this in my basket quicker can you could say "fetch" to a dog. I do feel though that with the amount of product you get ( double the average £40 mask ) the price is not actually that bad. Plus you are paying for 100% natural, no nasties at all. The Problem Solver is a powder that turns into a mask when mixed with water. It is a purifying mask packed full of antioxidant-rich raw cacao, repairing bamboo charcoal and circulatory-boosting aromatic spices that help to eliminate toxins and clear clogged pores. Skin is left deeply cleaned, clarified and clear. A little really does go a long way with this, so I know it will last me for ages.

Guy Morgan Midnight Black Clay Mask £35 - Link via Content Beauty

I discovered this company browsing through the Content Beauty website and was drawn to the adorable packaging. Then as i started to follow this brand on Instagram I soon noticed just how passionate, sweet and helpful he is, which makes me want to try more from the brand. The midnight black clay mask is a jet black earthy powder deep-cleansing clay mask ( boy that was a mouthful ). It detoxifies, hydrates and brightens all skin types. Another product that activates once mixed with water. The clay cleanses deep down into the pores to drawer out toxins an dirt that cleansing will miss. It also helps to reduce excess sebum and has anti-bacterial & inflammatory qualities, making this a fantastic choice for anyone who is fighting acne. I find it extremely gentle yet effective on my skin.

Amly Radiance Boost Silver Rich Face Mist £42 - Link via Content Beauty

I actually prefer the scent of this to the May Lindstrom Jasmine Garden. A natural healing and revitalising face mist made with silver-rich spring water and beautiful wild flowers from the Amly wild-flower meadow in Est Sussex - where its gets its name from. This delicate fragranced luxurious face mist uses the natural healing properties of silver water to not only moisturise the skin but help strengthen it. Copper peptides and nourishing plant probiotics help to perfect the skin, while Hyaluronic Acid deeply moisturises. The uplifting scent reminds me of a gentle summers day, walking through the beautiful British countryside with a slight breeze in the air, leaving your senses fully awakened, your mind relaxed and your skin naturally glowing.

Lina Hanson Global Face Trio £60 - Link via Content Beauty
Lina Hanson is a brand i don't hear talked about much in the natural skincare community, yet it's a brand not to be missed. The Global face trio was created by the beautiful Lina to make life convenient. As she travelled a lot she found it was hard to find space for a cleanser, exfoliator and a mask, so she created a miraculous three in one product to save on space. This gentle yet effective powder is customisable depending on your skins needs. To activate add a dash of water for a mask, a drop or two more for an exfoliator, or really dilute for an everyday cleanser. A mask, Cleanser or Exfoliator. It helps to remove impurities, tighten pores and clarify the skin. leaving skin soft and balanced,  and the complexion glowing. Plus it smells amazing!!! My kind of super product.

Lina Hanson Global Treasures £86 - Link via Content Beauty
The priciest product in this entire haul but the most magical one of all. Lina has created another wonderful multi-functional product that helps on space and time. The Global treasures is a beautiful treatment balm that can be used on the eye and neck areas - which tend to age quicker as the skin is thinner. The balm melts upon contact with the skin and nourishes dull and uneven skin. Packed with powerful antioxidants to soften wrinkles, restore elasticity, stimulate and rejuvenate skin cells it is an amazing holistic experience. A unique green colour in shade with gold flecks, it gets its colour from Matcha Green Tea and Real 24ct Gold Leaf. , while brightening the complexion. The delectable aroma comes from a combination of the green tea and coffee. It feels lightweight without feeling greasy and under eyes are left nourished and hydrated. Say goodbye to those pesky fine lines.

Lué by Jean Seo Erase Cleansing, Exfoliating & Brightening Powder £14.50 - Link via Content Beauty
I discovered this also on the Content beauty website but realised i was following Jean's other brand ( the mother company to Lué ) on instagram. Jean is the visionary behind the skincare brand évolué and Lué is the affordable skincare option that is fantastic for oily skin types. Erase is a cleansing, exfoliating & brightening powder. Made with non-fat milk powder, finely milled whole grain oats, and a touch of magnesium carbonate, this perfectly pH balanced powder helps to clear the complexion, balances the skin and leave it smooth and radiant. Think a 'natural' alternative to the Dermalogica Daily Microexfoliant. It really is unique and smells just like baby oatmeal.

Jane Scrivner Nourishing Cleanser £46 - Link via Jane Scrivner ( *Kindly Gifted )

I discovered the decadent beauty through the lovely Fiona of BeautyShortlist. We pretty much like the exact same products so i always value her recommendations. Until last month i had never heard of this wonderful brand and now its a brand i cannot forget. The Nourishing Cleanser is one of Jane's most popular products aimed at all skin types. To clean the skin without being stripping, leaving the skin balanced, soft and glowy with no residue left behind. I love a good cleansing balm and the fact that this uses mostly Jojoba oil is a major bonus for me.
